Jacqueline is employed as Head of Fundraising & Development with First Housing Aid & Support Services, a leading homeless charity in Northern Ireland. Prior to taking up this position, Jacqueline established and developed the ‘SmartMove’ franchise comprising private sector housing and support services, which now operates across Northern Ireland. She is also the founder and Chairperson of the charity ‘Kinship Care Northern Ireland’.
Jacqueline has worked in the voluntary sector for 15 years during which time she has established excellent working relationships with a wide range of statutory, private, voluntary and community sector organisations. Jacqueline has considerable experience working with disadvantaged and marginalised groups in Northern Ireland. She has a special interest in the social care system having spent her entire childhood in care. If given the opportunity she would change the way ‘looked after’ children and children in need are cared for by the State.
Jacqueline has a Degree and a Masters Degree in Housing, a Masters in Public Administration and a Postgraduate Executive Diploma in Strategic Management. She lives in Derry with her 2 children. She is also a kinship carer
Outside of work Jacqueline enjoys taking her kids and dog ‘Princess Maggie’ to the beach.
